Who are we looking for?
We are seeking individuals, who have expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Please take note! We are not a regular shelter. We are a non-profit organization, that focuses on outreach, education and neutering programs. We operate a small hospital (recover center), but most animals do not stay with us after treatment as they return to their pagodas. Our volunteer positions that require direct work with animals are mostly related to veterinary or behavior care and need the expertise of professionals. Exceptions are foster homes and Pagoda Ambassadors.
In order to apply, please send us your CV (max. 2 pages) and a motivation letter (max. 1 page). Contact details are firstname.lastname@example.org and CC to email@example.com. Please indicate:
- How many hours can you work per week?
- Which days are you available?
- What tasks are you interested in helping us with?
- Tell us about yourself! What drives you? What do you hope to achieve? What are your passions? What makes you unique? What would you like us to know? Show us who you are!
Before applying, please consider whether you have enough time and motivation to volunteer with us. We are very dependent on your commitment and it is essential that you are reliable. We cannot accept volunteers that frequently cancel or do not inform us in case they cannot keep their appointments or fulfill their tasks. If you commit to volunteering, please view your position with us as part/full-time employment because, essentially, this is what it is.
We receive a fair amount of applications and we will get back to you as quickly as we can. If you do not hear from us within the first 2 weeks, your application may have been unsuccessful. Due to the number of applications, please understand that we cannot reply to every applicant.
